Birdhouse Gourd BIrdhouse sounds a bit redundant, doesn’t it? (But it isn’t.) Each Birdhouse Gourd BIrdhouse (BGB) starts as a seed that grows to a vine that produces the gourds. Each vine and gourd have been lovingly tended in my Connecticut garden. The mature gourds are harvested and dried over the course of 3 seasons. Some have wood-burned designs, while others are left unadorned. All are hand-rubbed with a polyurethane finish. All are finished with bottom drainage and ventilation holes.
The 1.25 inch opening is suitable for chickadees, nuthatches, warblers, woodpeckers, and wrens.
