Insert Black Pants Girl into the Walk of Shame story (See yesterday’s post)

My friend, E. L., was part of the campus improv comedy group.  A gifted writer and friend.  We shared a bond in college that I can’t explain.  E. L. came up with Black Pants Girl - the quintessential CC female party attender.  Homogeneous females migrating across campus by way of kegs in common rooms.

Noticing…

She’s beaming.

Our campus was and is - open, accepting, affirming, progressive, liberal, rainbows.

When I visited CC for my interview, the LGBTQ group had adorned the sidewalks with affirmations:

WE ARE HERE

WE ARE QUEER

WE ARE FABULOUS!

My 20’s

Horny stimulated

Flowers running down her legs

On display

Radiante

Prime of her life

Packaged, purged and binged

Pride down the drains

Black outs, burn outs

It really is amazing she saved herself.

Pristine flowers going down into dirty sewers - spilling out with no signs of stopping.

Getting stimulated - disembodied party pieces used and discarded. Guarded Denial.

She beams despite all of this.
